Modelling and vector control of dual three‐phase PMSM with one‐phase open

This study proposes a generic mathematical modelling and decoupling fault-tolerant vector control for dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) with one phase open based on the conventional voltage source inverters, accounting mutual coupling between two sets of windings second harmonic inductance. When PMSM has open, flux-linkages are asymmetric there components in reference frame (dq-frame). Based proposed modelling, both currents become DC values dq-frame, therefore, proportional integral (PI) controller can be used to regulate dq-axis currents. Then, with/without dedicated feed-forward compensation is validate correctness modelling. Experimental results prototype show that well suppressed simply by PI compensation. It also shows method excellent dynamic performance, which equivalent space decomposition healthy machine.
